And so it begins. Hope you weren’t too attached to Google Maps in iOS.
They have bike lanes mapped for 150 cities, and they can even plot routes that avoid hills. Excellent.

Twitter Meets Google Street View: Stweet! - Mashable
Interesting mashup that overlays tweets, based on the location information that users opt to include, on an actual Google Maps Street View. Stweet seems to be struggling with traffic right now, though; most of the supported cities do not return any tweets or streets.

Has Google Maps always displayed ads like this (expand your browser window for a larger view; I’m still trying to tweak my new site design)? I searched for “Argo Tea” in the Chicago area, and in addition to a few accurate results, gMaps also placed a pin on the map with a unique icon. Turns out it’s a Sponsored Link for a competing tea shop, called Russian Tea Time.
