It’s 2013 and Microsoft and Skype still can’t figure this out. The new Skype Video Messages looks like a freshman design project scrapped together three hours before class. Now that I actually look at it, so does Skype 5.x for Mac. Still.
Bonus points: it’s only for Mac, iPhone, and Android. Yes, that’s right: not Windows, not Windows Phone.

I have only one question about Skype’s attempt to make money off freeloaders.
Oops.
While Windows Phone 7 gained some basic multitasking features in 7.5, VoIP wasn’t on the menu. If you switch away from a Skype call on the current crop of Windows Phone 7… phones, your call gets cut off.
