So, Shaun Collings, a buddy of mine in the motion graphics industry out in LA, looked me up a while back and says “hey can I use your name in this project I’m working on?” I said sure, why not?

He didn’t offer much in the way of what the project is, which meant that I either really did want to know or perhaps should never, ever know. I gambled and went for the former.

I asked what he meant by “project.” He tells me “oh, it’s just a special feature for the Tron: Legacy DVD.”

Turns out he wasn’t kidding. I don’t want to spoil what the special feature is, because it sounds kinda cool (I don’t have the DVD yet and haven’t seen the special feature itself; I just got a description from Shaun). But, erm… Achievement Unlocked: I’m in the new Tron: Legacy DVD.

I was called in  as “an expert” to chat about Verizon’s iPhone 4 on The Browser, a show on KSL Newsradio in Salt Lake City. Setting aside the debate of my status as an expert on anything but grilled cheese sandwiches, here’s the segment. Not too many “ums” and I believe only one dyslexic incident where I said “Verizon” when I meant “FaceTime.” In either case, they asked me to stay on tap for the next time they need an outside opinion, so I guess I did alright. Thanks to Amy and Jay for having me on.
